Telecommuting Training: Purpose and Course Objectives
The purpose of this training is to provide employees and managers
interested in telecommuting with the tools to successfully implement
arrangements and manage them effectively. We hope that as a result of
this training you will:
understand how telecommuting benefits both telecommuters and
the company,
be able to successfully implement a telecommuting
arrangement,
know how to manage a telecommuting arrangement and,
be able to troubleshoot arrangement breakdowns.
Definition of
Telecommuting:
Employees perform work up to several days a week at a site other than
their primary office location - at their home or other work site.
For the purpose of this training, we're assuming that the off-site
location for most telecommuters will be in their homes. We
are therefore using the term "home office" rather than
"off-site office."
